Background

		The Law on prevention of violence in the family was adopted in Tajikistan in 2013. Since than the Office through its network of Women Resource Centres as well as established Gender sensitive police units supported the victims of violence in the family. However, after getting the support the victims, often times return to the perpetrator and the violence continues and even becomes harsher.
