The OSCE Secretariat is looking for qualified candidates to carry out internships for 3-6 month periods as of September 2017 in a variety of both administrative and programmative areas.  The respective supervisors will establish specific terms of reference for the intern to be assigned to their department/section/unit.

The current climate in Kosovo calls for a comprehensive, long-term strategy for introducing media literacy programs into schools and the education curriculum. According to a study conducted by Friedrich Edberg Stiftung in 2012 , adolescents in Kosovo spend on average 7 hours per day consuming internet and television. In 2014, 98% of adolescents attending higher education in Kosovo claimed to use social media on a daily basis.

The state of media in Kosovo continues to suffer from similar problems of past years, including the operational difficulties of key media institutions, journalists’ intimidation, and the inconsistency in maintaining high reporting and journalism standards. While freedom of media and expression are largely safeguarded from a legislative perspective, the implementation of the respective laws and regulations remains inadequate.
