This position is open for secondment only and participating States are kindly reminded that all costs in relation to assignment at OSCE/ODIHR must be borne by their authorities. Candidates should, prior to applying, verify with their respective nominating authority to which extent financial remuneration and/or benefit packages will be offered. Seconded staff members in the OSCE Secretariat and Institutions are not entitled to a Board and Lodging Allowance payable by the Organization.

National Press Officer

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the National Spokesperson and Deputy Head of Mission (DHoM), the incumbent is responsible to coordinate Mission's public events and ensure positive promotion and build on the public outreach. The incumbent is fully responsible for Mission's external communication, in coordination with the supervisors and relevant programmes.

In recent years, the Department for Security and Public Safety (DSPS) of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo (OMiK) has been proactively participating in the development of security and public safety sector initiatives in Kosovo. The main emphasis of this work was to strengthen sustainability, improve professional standards and introduce internationally recognised best practices for Kosovo law enforcement agencies.

    The Office of the Secretary General (OSG) provides general services to the Secretary General (SG), the Chairperson-in-Office and the participating States. It groups horizontal services such as Executive Management, Communication and Media Relations, Legal Services, External Co-operation, Security Management, Gender Affairs, Conference and Language Services and Central Records Management, and oversees the Prague Office.
