In 2014 the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek (POiB) launched three-year project “Strengthening Regulatory Governance in Kyrgyz Republic” to assist the Government in improving its governance of private economic activity and reduce corruption by removing unnecessary regulatory barriers to business and reducing the complexity and excessive discretion related to regulation.

In the light of recent membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, Kyrgyzstan started to coordinate its sustainable economic development policy with the Eurasian Economic Commission.
