Vacancy
Background | ||
This vacancy is open only for the applicants with the citizenship of or permanent residence in the Republic of Serbia. In co-operation with the Supreme Court of Cassation of the Republic of Serbia and Journalists’ Association of Serbia, the OSCE Mission to Serbia is planning to organize a seminar for judges on boundaries in public commenting of ongoing court proceedings. In order to provide for a quality discussion, the Mission is seeking an expert to prepare an analysis of the comparative case law from the countries with similar legal systems and of the relevant cases adjudicated by the European Court for Human Rights. This activity represents a follow-up to the last year’s successful co-operation between the Mission and the Supreme Court of Cassation of the Republic of Serbia in organizing the annual conference of judges. Having in mind the need to improve relations between the courts and the media in the Republic of Serbia, the Mission already organized a public debate on this topic in 2018 with the Journalists’ Association of Serbia (UNS) and dedicated a panel to this issue at the “Days of Judges” event. |
