Background | ||
This call for applications is open for persons with the citizenship of one of the OSCE participating States, excluding the sole citizenship of the Republic of Serbia. Persons who are older than 30 years on the date of the deadline of the vacancy notice or who have already served six months of internship in the OSCE, irrespective of the duty station, are not eligible to apply. The Security Co-operation Department of the OSCE Mission to Serbia is looking for an intern for its Organized Crime Unit. The incumbent will undertake an unpaid internship for the duration of a minimum three and maximum six months, subject to the requirements of service and satisfactory performance by the incumbent. Please note that all internships with the OSCE are unpaid. The OSCE is not in a position to pay any remuneration during the period of internship or to reimburse travel expenses to or from the place of assignment.

Tasks and Responsibilities | ||
The selected intern will have an opportunity to gain an overview of the work of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, focusing on its politico-military dimension. Under the supervision of the Senior Organized Crime Adviser, the intern will carry out the following duties:

Remuneration Package | ||
The incumbent will undertake an internship for the duration of a minimum three and maximum six months. The envisaged commencement date will be in November 2019. The OSCE is not in a position to pay any remuneration or cover expenses incurred by the intern. However, some compensation towards the cost of living will be offered to interns who do not have their residence in Belgrade and who do not receive financial support from an educational institution. In 2019, this compensation is set at EUR 11.9 per day (i.e. 10% of the Board and Lodging Allowance). In addition, the OSCE will cover the costs of any official travel undertaken during the internship. The selected interns must provide evidence of health insurance coverage that is valid for Serbia, otherwise they shall be obliged to join the OSCE group health insurance for the period of their internship, in which case they shall pay the corresponding premium in full (EUR 88.23 per month). The OSCE shall bear the premium costs of group life and accident/disability insurance. |
