Background | ||
The vacancy is open only for persons with citizenship of the Republic of Serbia. Persons who are older than 30 years on the date of the deadline of the vacancy notice or who have already served six months of internship in the OSCE, irrespective of the duty station, are not eligible to apply. The Mission seeks a local intern to assist in research, logistical, planning and administrative tasks within the project "Countering Violent Extremism and Radicalization Threats in Serbia through Community-Based Early Warning and Preventive Engagement". The project is aimed at establishing and consolidating a foundation for efforts to prevent and counter violent extremism and radicalization that can lead to terrorism (VERLT) in Serbia. Preventing and countering VERLT is recognized as a comprehensive and multi-faceted approach in the global fight against terrorism to which the Government of Serbia is committed. The project is focused on all kinds of violent extremism, and supports a range of efforts including community policing/community safety and intercultural and civic education. The incumbent will undertake an unpaid internship until the end of the Project (31 March 2019). |

Remuneration Package | ||
The intern will undertake an internship until the end of the Project (31 March 2019). This is a non-paid internship, and the OSCE is not in a position to pay any remuneration or cover any expenses incurred by the intern except for travel initiated and authorized by the OSCE. Interns must provide evidence of health insurance coverage which is valid for Serbia, otherwise they shall be obliged to join the OSCE group health insurance for the period of their internship, in which case they shall pay the corresponding premium in full (EUR 34.12/month). The OSCE shall bear the premium costs of group life and accident/disability insurance. |
