Vacancy
Background | ||
This vacancy is open for the applicants with the citizenship of an OSCE participating State, excluding the Republic of Serbia. The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed the Republic of Serbia and countries around the globe into a recession due to severe negative impacts on the economy. To address the imminent socio-economic challenges and promote economic recovery in the aftermath of the pandemic, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC) initiated a set of activities intended to identify and develop sustainable development policies and instruments for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The promotion of circular economy business initiatives will be applied as entry points for promoting economic growth, generating new jobs and promoting partnerships, creating new value chains and reducing environmental risks. The process includes the development of a national “gap report” which would include inputs obtained from a public consultation process and a comprehensive overview of challenges, current capacities among SMEs, good EU practice and recommendations for policy support, economic incentives, innovations and instruments promoting businesses based on circular principles. The recommendations developed in the Gap report will be summarized in an Action Plan and submitted to the Government of the Republic of Serbia for further action. The OSCE Mission to Serbia will continue to support the Government by engaging an international expert who would draft an overview of policy development that promotes circular economy and therefore contributes to post-COVID 19 economic recovery. |
