National Legal Officer

Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

Under the supervision of the Human Rights Adviser in Regional Center Gjilan/Gnjilane (RC), the National Legal Officer is responsible for:

 

1. Monitoring the legal system in the assigned RC by directly monitoring court proceedings, analysing court records, and liaising with court staff, judges, prosecutors and private lawyers;

2. Analysing and reporting on monitoring activities in order to determine whether the regional justice system is compliant with domestic law and international human rights standards;
