Background
     
    The incumbent is assigned to the Fund Administration Unit of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek (POiB) and provides support in the management of POiB assets ensuring compliance of existing policies and procedures with the CRMS.
     
Tasks and Responsibilities
     
   

Under the supervision of the Senior Asset Management Assistant and guidance of the Procurement / Materials Management Officer the incumbent is responsible for performing the following duties:

  1. Carries out maintenance and records of POiB warehouses, receives, moves, checks and inspects goods received, bar-codes, selects storage space, and properly stores assets and materials at the warehouses;
  2. Contacts transport companies and coordinates dispatch and delivery with them; loads and unloads trucks, vans, trailers and other vehicles; prepares deliveries for couriers;
  3. Issues and properly records all releases from the warehouses upon requests of POiB staff;
  4. On monthly basis conducts warehouses inventories, updates databases;
  5. Assists in the conduct physical inventories of assets; 
  6. Assists with physical packing, labelling, handing-over, transfer and disposal of assets;
  7. Assists in the maintenance of all electronic and paper assets files and archives;
  8. Upon request of the supervisor helps to clarify/apply warranty cases;
  9. Uses warehouse equipment to move goods around; ensures a clean workhouse environment and safe working conditions;
  10. Perform other related duties as requested.

Necessary Qualifications
     
   
  • Secondary education or technical education;
  • Two years of relevant work experience;
  • Basis computer literacy (MS Word), knowledge of Excel would be an advantage;
  • Good oral and written communication skills in Russian to receive goods and communicate with local transport staff. Requires knowledge of English to communicate with other POiB staff, complete paperwork, and maintain computer records.

Remuneration Package
     
   

Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 582.92 Euro/month. Social benefits will include OSCE participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.

Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions.
