Background: The OSCE Programme Office in Nur-Sultan is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the temporary position of Project Assistant (G5, S1) in its Economic and Environmental Dimension for the period of 5 months 29 days.

Tasks and Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of Economic and Environmental Officer (EEO) and the general supervision of the Head of Programme Office the Project Assistant for Economic and Environmental Activities (SPA) assists the EEO at a technical level by carrying out logistical arrangements in preparing and implementing projects, maintains close contacts with governmental institutions, international organizations, non-governmental organizations and the OSCE Secretariat with regard to project development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and exchange of information.

Necessary Qualifications

Education: Secondary education with formal training in science, environmental sciences/ management or related fields.

Experience: Minimum two years of relevant work experience in administrative and/ or programmatic involvement into project management, preferably at international organizations, diplomatic missions and/or international non-governmental organizations. Good general knowledge of environmental and economic issues in Central Asia. Good computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet skills, familiarity with Oracle applications an asset).

Languages: Superior command of Russian and English, knowledge of Kazakh language will be an asset.

Other: Organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds.

 

Remuneration Package:  Monthly remuneration is EUR 1,211. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
