This is an extra-budgetary position. The initial contract will be for one year, renewable until the project ends. The expected duration of the project is from January 2020 until December 2021 and the selected candidate should commit to being available for the duration of the project. The OSCE has a comprehensive approach to security that encompasses politico-military, economic and environmental, and human aspects. It therefore addresses a wide range of security-related concerns, including arms control, confidence- and security-building measures, human rights, national minorities, democratization, policing strategies, counter-terrorism and economic and environmental activities. All 57 participating States enjoy equal status, and decisions are taken by consensus on a politically, but not legally binding basis. The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) is the principal institution of the OSCE responsible for the human dimension. ODIHR is active throughout the OSCE area in the fields of election observation, democratic development, human rights, tolerance and non-discrimination, and the rule of law. ODIHR's assistance projects and other activities are implemented in participating States in accordance with ODIHR's mandate. The Office’s Tolerance and Non-Discrimination Department is currently managing large-scale, extra budgetary project - “Turning Words into Action” (WIA) which aims to ensure, that equal, inclusive and resilient societies across the OSCE region are free of all forms of discrimination and marginalization, and that civil society in the OSCE participating States can work effectively to advance democracy and human rights.

Tasks and Responsibilities: | ![]() |

Under the supervision of the Project Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties: 1. Supporting the implementation of the hate crime reporting platform, in particular: - establishing detailed timeframe and calendar for the implementation of activities, 2. Supporting Project Officer in developing and maintaining project monitoring and evaluation by collecting data and drafting summary reports; 3. Ensuring high quality information and communication materials, and visibility of the project activities to the project stakeholders; 4. Contributing to the proper documents and records management by maintaining appropriate project filing system and ensuring maintenance of all project files. |

|
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions, is approximately 8,500 PLN. OSCE salaries are exempt from taxation in Poland. Social security will include participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme (current approximate deduction for a staff member is 52 Euro) and OSCE Provident Fund. The Organization contributes an additional amount equivalent to 15% of the employee's salary to this pension-style fund while the employee contributes 7.5%. Other allowances and benefits are similar to those offered under the United Nations Common System for general services employees. Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. |
