OSCE Mission to Montenegro is seeking for highly qualified, motivated and experienced candidates for the position of Senior Programme Assistant (G6) at the Democratization Programme. | ||
Tasks and Responsibilities | ||
Under the direct supervision of the Democratization Programme Manager and the overall guidance of the Deputy Head of Mission, the incumbent is the main IRMA focal point for the Programme and is responsible for the inception and implementation of the Mission’s activities in the areas of Roma and vulnerable groups, including cross-programmatic activities such as domestic violence. The duties of the incumbent include drafting strategies, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating projects and reporting on them as well as analysing and reporting on relevant issues. 1. Programme Support (a) Assists in drafting project documents, especially in relation to Roma issues and cross-programmatic activities, project progress and self-evaluation reports; b) Implements project’s tasks and activities in relation to Roma and as needed; (c) Arranges local and international expertise by identifying relevant experts/consultants and/or relevant NGOs for the activities under his/her responsibility, liaises with them, agrees over the Terms of Reference and travel dates; makes the required arrangements, cooperates and gives recommendations during the visits; (d) Assists in drafting reports and inputs required by the Programme Manager (PM) and the Mission Senior Management; (e) Provides inputs for weekly, monthly, activity and annual reports; (f) Conducts background research and analytical overview of developments in areas relevant to the democratization programme, in particular in the area of Roma, using a variety of information sources; (g) Follows on-site visits, provides support in identifying programmatic goals and objectives consistent with the Mission’s mandate; (h) Organises, coordinates and facilitates experts meetings, conferences, specialised trainings, roundtables, workshops and seminars with domestic and international counterparts; (i) Under the guidance of the PM, maintains efficient communication with relevant governmental, non-governmental and international stakeholders; (j) Participates in regional initiatives, as needed.
2. Administrative Support (k) Acts as IRMA System focal point for the Programme: prepares Purchase Requests to be submitted to the Chief of Fund Administration Unit and the PM for approval; follows up on procurement related issues and payments with the Fund Administration Unit colleagues; runs project and expenditure reports; (l) Ensures prompt and accurate preparation of all administrative and logistic documents related to entrusted activities, including scanning and filing as appropriate; m) Drafts meeting minutes and reports from attended events; (n) Assists the PM when interfacing with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective communication and provides interpretation as needed; (o) Drafts and maintains official correspondence in both English and the local language, and translates requested information/documents

Remuneration Package | ||
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions, is EUR 1,463.50. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund. Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions. |
