The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine is looking for highly qualified, motivated and experienced Ukrainian professional for the position of Senior ICT Assistant in Kyiv. The OSCE is committed to achieving a better balance of women and men within the Organization.
NOTE: Initial duration of appointment/assignment for this post is subject to a subsequent OSCE Permanent Council Decision to extend the mandate of the Mission. Confirmation of post grade is pending completion of classification review.

Tasks and Responsibilities | ||
Under direct supervision of the Chief of ICT the incumbent performs the following duties:
1. Servers Administration Performs backup and restore of critical data; Makes sure that backup results match expectations; Monitors data replication to ensure it occurs in a timely fashion; Executes end-user backup and restoration; Monitors Mission’s directories for capacity, availability and performance; Administers redundant array of independent disks (RAID) storage; Ensures that storage resources are in good working order; Manages client/server storage management configurations; Executes routine tasks to ensure smooth running of servers and peripherals; Executes documented administration procedures for service quality assurance; Configures resources for test environment; Participates in production testing of storage resources; Installs patches related to server infrastructure; Detects server management events and raises alerts; Ensures sufficient data storage space exists for business and utility applications; Executing appropriate disaster recovery procedures; Manages and configures virtual server environment (vmWare vCenter);
2. Hardware and Software Installation, Configuration and Upgrades Installs, configures and tests hardware and peripherals both on site and through SCCM tools; Installs, configures, and tests new operating systems, standard and non-standard application software and software upgrades and updates both on site and through SCCM tools; Performs quality checks on outcomes of work performed; Documents system installation, configuration procedures, and current configuration; Contributes to the new system implementation in the production environment; Provides application support to facilitate effective utilization of the system; Performs on-demand Anti-Virus scans and cleaning of infected systems; Configures printers, plotters and multifunctional devices; Installs and removes software licenses; Supports processes facilitating the readiness of the production environment;
3. SCCM Clients Administration Configures and Deploys Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager clients, diagnoses client hardware and software problems, checks product compliance, tests client network connectivity, remote transfer files to and from a client, software distribution and installation, allowed software metering, monitoring of not allowed software usage; Reports possible system problems for rapid resolution, identifies problems, researches potential problem solution and recommends and implements solutions;
4. Active Directory Administration Creates, modifies and deletes directory objects in local Organization Unit; Provides and revokes access to the objects by request; Initiates password change procedure; Creates scripts and templates to automatize routine tasks and queries; Manages, administrates and troubleshoot group policies; Reports on different aspects of Active directory;
5. Technical Support Queries and expands existing knowledge base; Investigates and diagnoses incidents (including resolution where possible);Provides guidance to ICT Helpdesk Assistants; Provides support in a complex incidents; Resolves and recovers assigned incidents; Confirms and closes resolution of incidents; Handles service requests; Keeps affected users informed about progress; Prepares video conferencing system and equipment when requested; Escalates the troubleshooting process if necessary and notifies supervisor; Performs minor cabling works, patching;
6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Remuneration Package | ||
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 1176.00 Euro/month. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna health insurance scheme and social security/ Provident Fund. Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. |
