Tasks and Responsibilities |
The Community Policing Unit of the Mission's Police Affairs Department works on strengthening the community policing concept so as to support effective and accountable relationship between the community and the police service in the host country. Under the direct supervision of the Head of the Police Affairs Department, the Senior Community Policing Adviser provides advice on the community policing and community safety policies and practices, as well as on their application to strengthening partnership between the police, local self-government, civil society and vulnerable groups in society. Specifically, the Senior Community Policing Adviser performs the following duties:
