OSCE missions and field activities are the front line of OSCE work in countries that require assistance and are the agent through which political decisions are translated into action. Each mission has a different mandate but generally work addresses early warning, preventive diplomacy, conflict management and post-conflict rehabilitation.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The incumbent is assignment to the Fund Administration Unit and works under the direct supervision of the Chief of Fund Administration (CFA) and in close cooperation with the Security Guards. He/She performs the following tasks:
Answers the telephone, establishes telephone connections upon request of mission members; takes and delivers messages; connects and/or transfers outside mission phone calls to requested person/extension;
Receives and distributes newspapers, magazines and journals to the Mission Members;
Assists visitors by providing accurate general information about OSCE and channels their requests to the respective Mission Members;
Deals tactfully with complaining and/or difficult visitors, without getting agitated or jeopardizing the image of OSCE;
Informs the Security Guards of the building about OSCE visitors and participants to official meetings organized at the OSCE premises;
Maintains vehicle movement and registration system established at the reception; ensures that all keys of the vehicles are returned to the reception in a timely manner;
Coordinates drivers’ daily assignments by notifying the when a Mission member needs vehicle with/or without driver;
Performs other duties as assigned.
Completed secondary education.
Two years of experience in an office environment or as receptionist, preferably with an international organization.
Good written and oral communication skills in Romanian, Russian and English.
Some communication and public relation skills; tact and courtesy in all dealings.
Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions, languages, and cultural backgrounds.
Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity.

Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deduction is EUR 368.00. OSCE salaries are exempt from taxation in Moldova. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
