The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe is looking for a highly qualified, motivated and experienced professional for the position of Project Assistant for its Border Management Staff College (BMSC) in Dushanbe.

Tasks and Responsibilities |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Under the direct supervision of BMSC National Project Officer, and in close co-ordination with the BMSC Chief Training and Education Officer, the incumbent performs the following functions:
Training related:
- Assists in arranging and organizing BMSC related events, inter alia, the Border Security and Management for Senior Leadership (BSMSL) courses and Staff Courses, as well as other professional development events and activities;
- Prepares equipment and items for the delivery of training;
- Remains during the Staff Courses and other activities in the Conference Hall facilitating the experts in the use of equipment and any other assistance needed for the experts and participants;
- Facilitates small groups of participants during the group works;
- Keeps a log of the participants’ files and performances during the courses;
- Maintains the data of the participants and experts who attend the BMSC for BSMSL, Staff Courses and other professional development events and activities;
- Takes pictures during the BSMSL, Staff Courses and other events and activities;
- Joins the group of participants of the BSMSL, Staff Courses and other events and activities in field study visits; takes pictures and if necessary, translates from English into Dari/Russian or vice-versa;
- Burns DVD Project or USBs for each event;
- Maintains and services the equipment, including, when applicable, training equipment (translation equipment, teaching aids, and other equipment that is required from instructors);
- Prepares and prints out Certificates.
Administrative related:
- Prepares all relevant financial and administrative documents, including contracts with translators/interpreters;
- Provides all necessary information to the Security Unit to ensure the access is provided to the experts / participants and the other BMSC visitors;
- Drafts and distributes invitation letters concerning experts and participant for BMSC events;
- Drafts and distributes invitation letters for BMSC roundtables, conferences, official ceremonies;
- Maintains system of reservation of BMSC briefing room as an integral part of the electronic calendar;
- Assists in organizing meetings and conferences both internal and external;
For internal meetings and conferences:
- Ensures that standard briefing material, name signs/tags and, as appropriate, D/BMSC welcome brochure, BMSC fact sheets, etc are available in the briefing room, and distributed at the table when required (actively checking what is required in connection with visits);
- Prints, copies and samples customized briefing material;
- Prepares simple briefing material including maps/pictures with descriptive lables for electronic presentation (power point) as well as for overhead presentations;
- Prepares table names and badges for participants of BSMSL courses and Staff Courses, and other events and activities;
- Provides briefing notes and assistance to the BMSC National Training Officer, and/or BMSC management upon request;
- Maintains and enriches the BMSC library;
- Performs other tasks as requested.

Necessary Qualifications |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Secondary education supplemented by formal training in education, office administration or project management;
- A minimum of three years of experience in training institutions, program/project planning, management and implementation including financial management; Computer literate with practical experience of Microsoft applications;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Russian and local languages;
- Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds;
- Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities.

Remuneration Package |
|

|
|
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions, is 631.67 EUR. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund. |
