Background    
     
    The Project Assistant is assigned to the Head of Mission Programme of the OSCE Mission to Moldova under direct supervision of the DHoM. The position provides clerical and administrative support to the Programmatic Activities and works closely with the Fund Administration Unit.
     
Tasks and Responsibilities    
     
   

Under supervision of the Deputy Head of Mission (DHoM), the incumbent performs the following duties:

  • To assist on various phases of the project management cycle to ensure that deadlines are met and project documentation done properly and timely manner;
  • To draft official  correspondence related to projects;
  • To support in organization of the project events like trainings and workshops (i.e. reservation of  conference facilities and equipment, organization of transport arrangements, air travel and hotel bookings arrangements, other procurements);
  • To support the Mission Programmes in  monitoring of the project implementation ;
  • To collect  data and  assists in drafting of project related reports, including financial reports and correspondence;
  • To maintain the records and files on all projects;
  • To perform other related duties as assigned

Necessary Qualifications    
     
   
  • Secondary education supplemented with additional training in administration or other relevant field
  • Minimum of 4 years of working experience relevant to the position;
  • Minimum 1 year project management experience, including project financial administration
  • Computer literate with practical experience with Microsoft application;
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, Romanian and Russian.
     
Remuneration Package    
     
    Monthly remuneration is EUR 642.50, OSCE salaries are exempt from taxation in Moldova. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
