Tasks and Responsibilities |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Under the supervision of Media Programme Manager, the incumbent carries out the following programmatic duties:
- Participates in concept and design of project activities, develops and implements team projects, taking overall responsibility for those activities assigned to him/her by Media Programme Manager;
- Ensures that the activities are successfully implemented in accordance with its objectives thought the project cycle, including designing action plans, budget estimates, implementation plans, final reports and evaluation;
- Engages actively (meets, communicates) with the target groups / beneficiaries/ interlocutors in order to build key support for the team activities; translates all communication upon request to the team. Prepares spot and analytical reports after important event related to the work of the Programme;
- Establishes working relations and contacts with international partners, donor organisations, and maintains professional relationships with the Montenegrin media;
- Liaises with other locally based media, including non-majority media, developing organisations and keep regular contacts with the Public Broadcaster, Media Council for Self-Regulation and journalists’ associations;
- Keeps current with latest media trends and international best practices in media field and media/ political developments within and beyond the region;
- In co-ordination with Fund Administration Unit (FAU), collects proper documentations (receipts, participant lists etc.) to clear advances, prepares necessary Requests for Goods for supplies or purchases;
- Prepares hand-outs and presentations for meetings, workshops, conferences and conducts and chairs meetings with media representatives, media advocates and researchers;
- Assists in the preparation of final reports and follow-up documentation for projects implemented;
- Arranges transport for team members or participants of team activities as requested;
- Organizes meetings, conferences, seminars, round table meetings etc. (booking premises, hotel rooms, transport etc.) whenever required also participates and prepares minutes/reports on those in order to inform colleagues and accompanies
- Programme Officers upon request;
- Maintains and updates contact lists, files, reports, correspondence and other material relevant to the work of the team. Maintains the Programme’s archiving systems in both hard and electronic copy and project financial records;
- Collects, reviews and sorts incoming mail, providing background files and information; dispatches outgoing mail, sends messages via facsimile and electronic mail;
- Drafts correspondence in English on basis on instruction received and/or on the basis of own knowledge of the work;
- Provide accurate interpretation and translation during meetings, as well as translation of correspondence and documents produced for senior management;
- Draft letters and written summaries of meetings on behalf of Media Programme;
- General clerical duties, including filing of documents and correspondence.

Necessary Qualifications |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Citizen or permanent resident of Montenegro;
- Secondary education supplemented by formal studies in administration or media/public information;
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience with media organisations, international agencies including experience with international media structures;
- Project management experience including administrative/financial skills;
- Demonstrated analytical, organisational, planning and problem-solving skills;
- Flexibility to handle multiple priorities and diverse personalities;
- Computer literate with practical experience in Microsoft packages;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and in the local languages;
- Possession of a valid driving license.

Remuneration Package |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 1,284.33 euro/month. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna health insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions.
