Background: The OSCE Programme Office in Nur-Sultan is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Programme Assistant (G5, step 1) in its Politico-military Dimension.
Tasks and Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Political Officer and the general supervision of the Head of Office the incumbent will serve in the Politico-military dimension. The incumbent will, inter alia, assist with programme implementation across all areas of activity within the dimension, act as a focal point for the DocIn system, monitor and analyze daily press reports and serve as a press officer.
Necessary Qualification:
Education: Secondary education supplemented by formal studies in political science/ journalism, languages.
Experience: Minimum 4 years working experience in the public communication, project/programme management with practical experience of translation/interpretation, established analytical skills and ability to produce background reports, conduct independent research. Computer literate with practical experience with Microsoft packages.
Languages: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Russian. Kazakh language skills are desirable.
Other: Organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds.
Remuneration Package: Monthly remuneration is EUR 1,211. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale.
