Background

     
   

The Human Rights and Democratization Programme (HRD) of the OSCE Mission to Moldova (MtM) contributes to and promotes the observance of human rights and democratic values.

In 2017, the MtM is implementing a project entitled “Human rights empowerment through primary legal aid by community resources.  Stage 4 – involving NGOs” (Nr. 3100294). Under this project, the MtM will organize training events for law students and paralegals in order to enable them to hold public lectures on the benefits of free legal aid. MtM plans to recruit two Trainers to prepare materials and facilitate the training events scheduled to take place on 26-27 June 2017 and 13-14 July 2017.

     

Tasks and Responsibilities

     
   

The National Trainers will prepare and moderate presentations on the following topics:

  • The importance of public lectures for legal empowerment of population;
  • Identifying topics for public lectures;
  • Preparing and structuring public lectures;
  • Applying interactive methods during a public lecture;
  • Providing detailed feedback and advising on how to improve their performance, by avoiding prejudice and perpetuation of stereotypes, etc.

The National Trainers will coordinate the division of topics to be covered by each of them and agree upon their concrete complementing roles during the training events in order to ensure maximum interaction with the audience. 

     

Necessary Qualifications

     
   
  • University degree in law;
  • Solid knowledge of the National Legal Aid System;
  • Knowledge of the needs of vulnerable population in the field of free legal assistance;
  • Solid knowledge of the activity of paralegals;
  • Skills in organizing public lectures;
  • Training experience on organizing public events in the field of Human rights
  • Developed analytical and writing skills;
  • Excellent communication and training skills;
  • Participation in previous OSCE-supported projects is an asset;
  • Good spoken Russian language skills.

Remuneration Package

     
    Remuneration will depend on National Trainer's qualifications and experience, and in accordance with the current OSCE consultancy rates.
