Job Title National Trainer for delivering awareness raising activities on preventing and countering the threat of violent extremism and radicalization that lead to terrorism Organization Name OSCE Centre in Ashgabat iRecruitment Notification Text The Centre plans to hire a team of national experts/trainers to deliver awareness-raising campaigns on the threat of VERLT and relevant preventive measures based on the OSCE-developed training modules for youth, women, religious and community leaders, as well as for law enforcement. As a result of open recruitment process, the successful candidates will be added to the Centre¡¦s roster of national experts. Background : In compliance with the agreed Plan of Projects to be implemented by the Government of Turkmenistan and OSCE Centre in Ashgabat in 2021, there is a project activity for conducting awareness-raising campaigns on the threat of VERLT and for developing training modules for delivery of those activities. The Centre has already launched the development process of training modules reflecting on awareness-raising activities targeting youth, women, religious and community leaders and law enforcement agencies. Following successful finalization and compilation of training modules into a single training manual, the Centre plans to deliver the awareness-raising events to various communities and law enforcement agencies across the country. Tasks and Responsibilities : Under the supervision of the Centre’¦s Programme Manager, the National Trainer will: • Liaise with respective Centre Programme staff and Senior National Experts on preventing and countering VERLT in outlining the scope of respective information and delivery of training modules with reference to existing legislation and National Strategy on preventing extremism and countering terrorism for 2020-2024 (0.5 day); • Make research and look for relevant information derivable from different sources and training material used during the LIVE ToT course by TNTDT/ATU (0.5 day); • Design relevant training presentations and exercise/case study in Russian or Turkmen to cover thematic information under the selected training module (2 days); • Submit the developed presentations to the Programme Manager five days in advance to the training event start; • Facilitate up to five two-or-three-day awareness raising activities in a pair with another trainer till the end of 2021 (max. 10 days); • Prepare and submit a final expert evaluation report (by 20 December 2021) to reflect on findings, lessons learned, outcomes and recommendations for future events (2 days). Necessary Qualifications • University degree in the field of law, international relations, psychology, social sciences or related field; • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in civil society activities, including expertise in protection of vulnerable groups and addressing human trafficking/domestic violence/public security/gender equality issues/youth issues; • Experience in delivering training courses and excellent presentation skills, including the ability to convey concepts, in a clear, concise style; • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different national, cultural and professional backgrounds, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity; • Excellent knowledge of Russian or Turkmen language including excellent drafting and communication skills; • Previous experience with international and local public organizations; • Possession of the OSCE-issued certificate on the completion of LIVE facilitator training course is preferable. • Computer literate. Remuneration Package Proposed Fee (including breakdown): EUR 1,500 (one thousand and five hundred euros), based on 15 (fifteen) working days at EUR 100 per day to be carried out over a three-month period. The sum prescribed is consistent with the fee paid for a similar assignment.
Fifteen working days, including 0.5 day for coordination work and 0.5 day for research of information and materials, 2 days for preparation of training presentations, up to 10 days for delivery of training activities and 2 days for preparation of final report, within a time period from 1 October to 20 December 2021.
