The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine is looking for highly qualified, motivated and experienced Ukrainian professionals for the position of National Technical Maintenance Officer with its Office in Kyiv. The OSCE is committed to achieving a better balance of women and men within the Organization.
NOTE: Initial duration of appointment/assignment is subject to a subsequent OSCE Permanent Council Decision to extend the mandate of the Mission. Confirmation of post grade is pending completion of classification review.

Tasks and Responsibilities | ||
In order to effectively use, manage and store information received from technical monitoring means, the SMM is creating a Technical Monitoring Centre (TMC) in Kyiv, under the direction and supervision of the Operations Unit. Live feeds from SMM technical monitoring systems including cameras and acoustic sensors will be transmitted to the TMC, for 24/7 monitoring and recording of Minsk agreements violations, and development of real time situational awareness and a common operating picture for the Mission.
Under the direct supervision of the Chief of the TMC and in close coordination with the ICT (Information Communications Technologies) Officer/TMC Support, TMC Field Support Teams and the Operations Technology Coordination Officer, the incumbent supervises and manages the activity of local maintenance or site placement contractors involved in the SMM camera monitoring project. The incumbent assists the Operations Unit/TMC in the deployment and maintenance of camera monitoring systems in Donetsk and Luhansk MTs (Monitoring Teams), and performs the following duties:
1. Supervises, manages and coordinates activities of local camera maintenance and camera placement contractors
2. Lead on all logistical efforts for TMC equipment which needs deployment to the Area of Operations
3. Ensures that the power supply units of the camera systems or power grid connections are maintained and operational
4. Manages projects integration
5. Performs other duties as assigned

Remuneration Package | ||
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 1691.00 Euro/month. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna health insurance scheme and Provident Fund. Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. | ||
