Under supervision of Deputy Chief of Mission Security and Chief of Mission Security the incumbent carries out the following duties: 1. Manages and supervises the Security Monitors, prepares the duty roster ensuring minimum presence required for daily activities in all shifts 2. Identifies lack of security/safety measures or procedures and provides advices and suggestions for improvements 3. Ensures that all activities and events are recorded, and shift reports are accurate and complete in order to serve as basis for daily reports 4. Supervises the collection of all information on events with potential impact on security and safety of Mission staff and operations and decides on dissemination groups and methods according to the importance of the information 6. Instructs Security Monitors in case of emergency or lack of compliance. Monitors and controls the work of the outsourced security contractors deployed at OMIK facilities and co-ordinates with their supervisors the exchange of information and improvement of performance 7. Prepares operational plans for Mission activities requiring security presence in other locations than OMIK compounds, and supervises security staff deployed in such operations 8. Carries out inspection patrols at random periods to all the positions of Security Monitors and outsourced security, observes their performance and compliance with the instructions, notes shortcomings and offers advice 9. Ensures all logistic and administrative aspects relevant for functioning of security division 10. Leads and instructs the security team in case of fire, earthquake, bomb threat or any other emergency situation occurring in Mission HQ or Logistic Base; is responsible for conducting regular fire drills and exercises aimed at evacuating the buildings in emergency situations 11. Coordinates response to any emergency (accident or incident) involving Mission member(s) or affecting Mission assets and operations in HQ or Logistic Base, or other locations as instructed by the supervisors; Liaises with the local emergency responders such as Kosovo Police, Fire Fighting Brigade, and Medical Emergency Services. Assists on Medical Evacuation process of the Mission member(s) requiring assistance 13. Supervises the drafting of accident/incident reports, conducts analyses and makes proposals for enhancing response procedures to security emergencies 14. Provides briefings, advice and reports to Security Management on security situation including summary of incidents and compilation of security awareness reports from open sources 15. Performs other duties as assigned. |

Necessary Qualifications |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
- University Degree in Security Management or other related field supplemented by security management and first-aid trainings - Minimum of two years of experience in supervisory level in security and safety management area, preferably with international organizations - Good Computer skills, knowledge on the use of Security Systems e.g. CCTV, GPS tracking, Electronic Access Control, various security alarm systems - Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and excellent knowledge of Albanian and Serbian languages - Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds - Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities - Valid (B) and (C) categories of driver’s license |

Remuneration Package |
|

|
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 1.452,17 Euro/month. Social benefits will include participation in the OSCE Group Insurance Plan (Health, Life, Accidental Disability and Temporary Incapacity Insurance) and the OSCE Provident Fund. Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions. |
