OSCE Missions and Field Activities are the front line of OSCE work in countries that require assistance and are the agent through which political decisions are translated into action. The OSCE Mission to Skopje is the Organization's longest-serving field mission. Based on the mandated priorities for the Mission, the Mission’s current activities are grouped in four main strategic areas: Inter-ethnic relations, including early warning; Rule of Law, Democratic Governance; and Transnational Threats. The OSCE Mission to Skopje is implementing the Extra Budgetary project “Assisting the National Authorities of the Republic of North Macedonia to Decrease the Risk of Weapon Proliferation and Misuse of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW)”. The Project aims to assist the Republic of North Macedonia to reduce the risk of weapon proliferation and misuse of SALW in the country through increasing the prevention, detection, analysis and investigative capacity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MoIA) and other Governmental Organisations. |

Tasks and Responsibilities | ||
Under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator (PC), the selected candidate will be responsible for day-to-day project management duties within the project, supervising two assistants and coordinating closely with the other project team members and members of the Mission and the Secretariat who will support project implementation. More specifically, the selected candidate will be responsible for: 1. Implementing the SALW project, through all steps of the project cycle, in accordance with OSCE performance-based programming and budgeting and project management standards, specifically:

3. Maintaining contacts and coordinating activities with stakeholders and beneficiaries (supporting liaison with key partners in the Government, international organizations and agencies, international and local experts as well as OSCE institutions); 4. Performing other duties as assigned. |

Remuneration Package | ||
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions, is approximately EUR 1,915.00. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna medical insurance and the OSCE Provident Fund. Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions. |
