Background
Please note that this vacancy notice is not for a specific assignment but is aimed to identify individuals with in-depth knowledge of and experience in the field of Public Relations to update the OSCE Programme Office in Nur-Sultan roster of experts/consultants. Successful applicants will be included in the POiN roster, with the possibility of being contacted in case of an assignment, for which they possess relevant qualifications. Inclusion into the roster does not carry any commitment by the OSCE to use the services of the expert.
As part of the Office’s long-standing efforts to strengthen the network of young environmental leaders in the Central Asia region and Afghanistan and to promote regional dialogue and co-operation in environmental security and sustainable development, the OSCE Office in Nur-Sultan announces a call for experts with specific experience in one of the following area:
PR support expert
Preparatory work for PR support of the 11th Central Asian Leadership Programme on Environment for Sustainable Development (CALP) which will be held online this year:
⎯ Development of a PR strategy of the event;
⎯ Promotion of the 11th CALP in the media, including the CAREC website and social media platforms (in Russian and English);
⎯ Conducting interviews with alumni of the CALP 2010-2019 / story of their volunteering activities and leadership, including COVID-2019 (in Russian and English);
⎯ Preparation of CAREC PR materials for the CALP.
Organization of PR support for the 11th CALP:
⎯ Implementation of a PR strategy;
⎯ Media promotion of the 11th CALP, including the CAREC website and social media platforms;
⎯ Conducting interviews with alimni of the CALP 2010-2019;
⎯ Promotion of CAREC PR materials for the CALP in Russian and English, and other documents;
⎯ Photo and video coverage of the 11th CALP (Please note that event will take place online);
⎯ Conducting a session based on the results of a survey of alumni, their stories of volunteering work and leadership, including COVID-2019;
⎯ Assistance to the CAREC project manager in the preparation of the PR-Report on the CALP and the final deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Higher education degree in Media and Communications, Public Relations, social sciences, or related fields;
- Previous experience in Media/Communications/PR will be an advantage;
- Previous experience of working with CAREC in PR support, including the CALP, will be an advantage;
- Experience in the preparation of PR materials, including press releases, interviews, success stories, best practices, including the CALP materials, will be an advantage,
- Experience in promoting PR materials through the CAREC website and social media,
- Excellent skills in written and spoken Russian and English,
- Knowledge of Kazakh language will be an advantage;
- Skills related to preparing reports and analytical materials
- Skills in MS office, MS Word, MS Excel, Power point, Internet, e-mail.
Remuneration Package
Remuneration will depend on the selected consultant/expert qualifications and experience and in accordance with the OSCE established consultancy rates.
