Background
The issue of safety of journalists persists as one of the threats to freedom of media in Kosovo, ever since the incidents of missing and murdered journalists over two decades, which still remain unsolved. Following the conference, Association of Journalists of Kosovo and the Association of Serbian Journalists Registered in Kosovo, as well as President Hashim Thaci, pledged their support for the establishment of a commission for the investigation of murdered and missing journalists.
