Within the framework of the OSCE Internship Programme the OSCE Programme Office in Nursultan is accepting applications for internship for a period of October – December 2019. The intern will support the Office’s activities in Economic-Environmental dimension. The intern will have the opportunity to develop his/her professional skills and gain practical work experience in an international environment.

The internship does not constitute a commitment to future employment with the OSCE. The OSCE is not in a position to provide financial assistance to selected interns.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assisting in arranging OSCE events in line with the subtasks under the POiN’s Project Proposal plan;
  • Ensuring the meeting of deadlines for POiN’s sub-tasks as determined by the POiN management;
  • Facilitating contacts and promoting information exchange on economic/environmental issues with

          national/local authorities, universities, research institutions and civil organizations;

  • Assisting in preparation of written materials such as briefing papers/memos/talking points/speeches/

          documents/newsletters and PowerPoint presentations on specific EED activities;

  • Attending OSCE meetings, such as regular meetings with the OSCE partners in Kazakhstan and taking

          minutes, drafting official records and writing reports;

  • Translating into Kazakh and Russian languages.

 

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

 

 

  • Students in the final year of higher education (university or other accredited institution) at the graduate or postgraduate level; or recent graduates or postgraduates;
  • The upper age limit for applicants is 30 years;
  • Applicants should have professional fluency in Russian, a working knowledge of English, both oral and written and computer literacy, knowledge of Kazakh is preferable;
  • They should be able to adapt to an international, multicultural working environment.
