Background
The OSCE Mission in Kosovo (the Mission) through its Law and Justice Section (LJS) monitors the justice sector, including judicial and relevant non-judicial institutions for compliance with human rights standards. Furthermore, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, within its mandate to develop capabilities and skills of youth in the area of public leadership, volunteerism, confidence-building, critical thinking, social cohesion and justice, freedom of expression, and dialogue, monitors situation and supports activities targeting youth. Kosovo has significant youth population. There is a great potential of young people to contribute to economic, political and social development. The Mission focuses its support on increasing and improving young people’s participation and contribution to policy design and decision making in public life. In 2017, the Mission supported civil society organizations, including organizations dealing with youth, to identify and develop activities aiming to increase skills and participation of youth in public life.
In 2018, the Mission will organize Kosovo wide competition on photography depicting every day human rights situation in their environment and poetry competition. They will then depict these situations through photography or poem. The human rights photography and a poem/song competition will target youth 15-25 years of age. There is also a huge potential of culture and art to promote human rights and reach out to larger population.
Objective
The main objective of the activity is to improve institutional and civil society efforts to promote and protect individual rights through building capacities and skills among youth to identify and present issues they identify in their everyday life at school at home, in the street, etc. The activity aims to teach youth about human rights and discrimination and encourage them to think creatively and identify every day situation that can contribute to discrimination or promote non-discrimination.

Remuneration Package
Remuneration will depend on the qualifications and experience of individual experts as well as the detailed work plan to be agreed upon and will be based on the current OSCE consultancy rates.
