Background

Implementation of the “MS Windows 10 and MS Office 2016” fast-track training, focusing on enhancing knowledge and skills of the OMiK ICT staff and in house trainers, to deal with upcoming challenges during the expected migration from MS Windows 7 to MS Windows 10, and from MS Office 2010 to MS Office 2016.

The OSCE is seeking to strengthen its internal capacities in order to ensure a smooth integration to the new MS Office environment, hence, the fast-track training programmes should be tailored in order to elaborate on new features and tools in these two areas, and introduce the differences between these two operating systems and the MS Office packages.

The training aims to produce the following outputs:

  1. Total of 28 OMiK staff members (16+12), including the current OMiK ICT Staff and in house trainers, will have successfully finished the MS Windows 10 and MS Office 2016 training programmes.
  2. The training participants will have developed an understanding of the application of main features, tools, and differences between the MS Office packages.
  3. The training participants will be able to identify appropriate challenges and requirements for the smooth integration to the new MS Office environment.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Training Co-ordinator of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, the International Training Consultant will be responsible for:

  1. Develop appropriate adult training methodology and materials in consultation with Training Section and deliver the training schedule and any presentations, exercises or case studies to the Training Section two weeks prior to the training
  2. Preparation of course content and course materials
  3. Assisting students with their learning process
  4. Develop a short appropriate assessment exercise or test to assess the skills that have been gained by participants in the training
  5. Produce the final consultancy report and recommendations for further action as identified during the course of the training

Deliverables:

  • By 3 September 2018 submit the final training plan
  • Incorporate all comments and suggestions from the Training Section on the deliverables and materials
  • By the second week of September  deliver one 2-day and one 1-day training on MS Windows 10 and MS Office 2016
  • By the end of September 2018 submit the final consultancy report including assessment of participants, the effectiveness of the training materials/methodology and recommendations for further action

Performance Indicators:

  • Course delivered as scheduled/planned in a requested format
  • Positive feedback from the course participants (evaluation questionnaire)
  • The final consultancy report is submitted to the Training Coordinator on time

Necessary Qualifications

  • University Degree in Computer Sciences, Communication or equivalent
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in training, special focus on MS Office and MS Windows
  • Microsoft Certified trainer certificate is highly preferable
  • Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in adult learning practices
  • Previous experience of working in capacity-building role
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Good interpersonal skills: ability to interact and maintain a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

Remuneration Package

Remuneration will depend on the qualifications and experience of individual experts as well as the detailed work plan to be agreed upon and will be based on the current OSCE consultancy rates.
