Vacancy
International Expert/Trainer for:
Background
Since 2015, the Mission, within the interfaith dialogue process, has organised Youth Summer Camps involving participants from different religious communities and youth civil society organizations (CSOs) to discuss diversity in religion and belief, providing a rich opportunity for intercultural understanding. As a result of the 2017 Interfaith Youth Camp, participants expressed the need to improve their skills in facilitation and training, in order to make the process sustainable and to act as multiplier in their local environment. Therefore, in 2018, the Mission will organise the Activity 5.7, Training of trainers for youth from religious communities in human rights, tolerance and freedom of religion, gathering 20 participants (from 18 to 26 years of age), to prepare youth from religious communities and CSOs to deal with human rights and religious freedoms in their own community or organization, promoting dialogue and tolerance among different religions and communities and trying to prevent conflicts associated with religious belonging. Participants will be trained and prepared in how to run activities related to human rights and interfaith issues. After the training, the participants will be mentored by a international expert in organizing three local youth camps that the Mission will implement under Activity 5.8; thus, as junior trainers, they will have the chance to practice what they have learnt through their participation in the training.
Since the Mission does not possess the necessary expertise in giving a training using a non-formal education methodology , a international expert shall be hired to facilitate the Activity 5.7 - Training of trainers for youth from religious communities in human rights, tolerance and freedom of religion and the Activity 5.8 - Youth camps in human rights, tolerance and freedom of religion.
