Vacancy
The OSCE Mission to Moldova is an OSCE field operation that operates on both banks of the Dniester/Nistru River, with offices on both sides of the Administrative Boundary Line in Chisinau, Tiraspol and Bender.
The Mission’s top priority is to facilitate through peaceful negotiations a comprehensive settlement of the Transdniestrian conflict based on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova with a special status for Transdniestria within Moldova. The Mission also pursues a range of other activities in the context of promoting a comprehensive, just and lasting Transdniestrian settlement.
OSCE Mission to Moldova is looking to hire an international expert to advise the Mission and to assist in discussions, in co-operation with and through the Mission, with experts from the two sides in the banking sector. The main goal of the consultancy is to identify a common agreement on small, concrete steps that would help building relations between the banking sectors, harmonizing standards and addressing the interests of both Sides.
The sub-Working Group on Banking between Moldova and Trasndniestria restarted after a break of nearly six years. Reforms in the Moldovan banking sector to comply with international regulatory standards have created challenges for engagement between the two Sides’ banking sectors. The Sides are reviewing specific issues, but the Mission requires assistance to build its own capacity to facilitate the discussions.
