Background

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Department of Management and Finance is responsible for managing the material and financial resources of the Organization. It provides policy guidance on the management of OSCE financial and material resources and develops and maintains OSCE Financial Regulations and Rules and Financial/Administrative Instructions.

 

Information and Communications Technology Services (ICTS) ensures efficient, available, and cost-effective management, operation and utilisation of Information Technology (IT) in support of the core business of the OSCE. This comprises activities associated with co-ordination, operation, management, development and implementation of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) supported projects and infrastructure.

 

 

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ICT is looking for an internship candidate who will work with all members of the ICT Communications team and will be tasked with the duties outlined below:

  • Assists in setting up Android smartphones according to the device management policies and procedures;
  • Provides support with troubleshooting Android or Apple smartphone functionality or compliance issues;
  • Deploying IP phones from/to users;
  • Assists in managing the VoIP Phone stock;
  • Ensuring/testing that user devices are ready for use and that they are in full operational condition;
  • Identifying the user needs when it comes to VoIP phone requests (new phone, exchange, move etc.);
  • Assisting with initiating and troubleshooting Webex conference calls;
  • Performing ticket assignment and follow up through the ICT ticketing system as required for the above services;
  • Performing other tasks as required.

Necessary Qualifications

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Applicants should be Vienna residents;
  • Students in the final year of higher education (university or other accredited institution) at graduate level, i.e. within two years of graduation, or recent graduates with a background in IT support;
  • Working experience on smartphones or VoIP support is an asset;
  • Advanced computer skills;
  • Strong analytical, customer oriented and troubleshooting skills;
  • Attention to detail, politeness and ability to perform under pressure;
  • Professional fluency in English with excellent communication skills; knowledge of other OSCE working languages is an asset;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people from different national and cultural backgrounds, whilst maintaining impartiality and objectivity.

Remuneration Package

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Applicants should be Vienna residents. The OSCE is not in a position to pay any remuneration or cover any expenses incurred by the intern during his/her stay in Vienna nor reimburse travel expenses. The internship lasts up to six (6) months and does not constitute a commitment to future employment with the OSCE.   

The selected intern will participate in the group health insurance scheme at his/her own expense but the OSCE will cover life and disability insurance.
