The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine is looking for highly qualified, motivated and experienced Ukrainian professionals for the position of ICT Technician with its Head Office in Kyiv. The OSCE is committed to achieving a better balance of women and men within the Organization.

Tasks and Responsibilities |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Under the direct supervision of the National IT Officer Support and field coordination the ICT Technician is responsible for management, maintenance and repairs of ICT equipment. Specifically, the incumbent provides the following services:
- Performs regular maintenance and minor technical malfunctions repairs of ICT equipment (e.g. desktop and notebook computers, printers, etc.); provides expert ICT and technical assessment of ICT assets and hardware claimed as broken, malfunctioning or damaged in the General Incident Reports (GIR) submitted in the Request Approval Tracking System (RATS) or in written; prepares recommendations on equipment required repairs in official service shops for complex malfunctions and warranty covered cases or when malfunction can’t be fixed in-house; prepares broken, malfunctioning or damaged equipment for the delivery to the service shops, including but not limited to completing kits with necessary for warranty case or repairs parts (chargers, batteries, cables, adapters, enclosures etc.), dismantling/wiping storage/memory devices (hard disk drives of desktop and notebook computers, SD/micro-SD memory cards of digital cameras and smartphones, USB flash drives, SIM-cards etc.) containing non-public OSCE information,; participates in receipt of restored equipment from service shop providing after-repairs assessment, acceptance tests and operability confirmation, prepares restored equipment for issuing, including but not limited to supplying it with necessary for regular use parts and components, installing back previously dismantled storage/memory devices;
- Installs software and operating system on desktop and notebook computers; Configures printers and other ICT equipment as required, installs software updates in accordance with ICT standard operating procedures, OSCE ICT rules and regulations, common ICT and technical recommendations; Participates in ICT systems installations, putting into operation, acceptance and performance tests, regular maintenance and upgrades; Tests new hardware and software products; Provides input for technical specifications for purchase, upgrade or replacement as required;
- Assists mission members on duties, by telephone or via remote access and control software with technical issues and questions on the use of ICT equipment; Identifies and prioritizes issues, applies standard solutions, escalates complex issues according to the procedures; utilizes available documentations and manuals (both internal and external), internet resources and previous requests’ history for effective and prompt resolution and support on the issues;
- Performs market research on requested ICT equipment as tasked by the National IT Officer Support and field coordination ,Keeps database of ICT hardware and software assets, spare parts;
- Performs other related duties as required.

Necessary Qualifications |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Citizenship of Ukraine;
- Completed secondary education, supplemented by formal IT course trainings;
- Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in the installation and maintenance of advanced ICT hardware (including multifunctional printers) and software (including operating systems);
- Established ability to identify, analyse and resolve hardware and software problems.
- Very good communication skills and competence in handling user’s problems;
- Professional fluency of English, Ukrainian and Russian languages, both oral and written;
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a member of a team, with people of different cultural and religious backgrounds, different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity;
- Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, as well as the ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities;
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and with limited time frames.

Remuneration Package |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security dedication is 837.91 Euro/month. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna health insurance scheme and social security / Provident Fund. Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale.
