The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine is looking for highly qualified, motivated and experienced Ukrainian professionals for the position of ICT Assistant in its office in Kramatorsk. Initial duration of assignment for this post is for a period of 12 months, with a possibility of extension, subject to a subsequent OSCE Permanent Council Decision to extend the mandate of the Mission.

Tasks and Responsibilities | ||
Under the direct supervision the Camera Support IT Officer and overall guidance of the ICT Officer/TMC Support and Chief of ICT in HQ (Headquarters) the incumbent provides a full range of ICT services to the MT (Monitoring Team) in support of the Surveillance monitoring. More specifically, responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities: - Installs and maintains the ICT equipment required for on-going functioning of the Camera sites and other ICT equipment in the offices, including Forward Patrol Bases within the AOR (Area of Responsibility) of MT and/or PH; - Performs periodic quality tests of Camera site ICT Systems (Switches, Routers/Firewalls, 3G modems, Microwave links, Internet and leased lines, etc.); - Carries out basic troubleshooting of ICT systems designed to perform in an autonomous mode, requirements to support them and maintaining their operational lifetime; - Responds to requests for assistance from users; logging calls in a database; maintaining accurate log entries of requests with fault details; - Searches documentation and previous requests for assistance on related topics to find most effective solutions; - Escalates requests to Kyiv HQ ICT service desk if needed; - Performs other related duties as required. May be called to drive official vehicles. As part of the recruitment process applicants must be determined as fit to work for the SMM prior to appointment/assignment, by completing a medical examination form and/or medical questionnaire, which will be assessed by a duly qualified medical practitioner appointed by the SMM.

Remuneration Package | ||
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 988.00 Euro/month. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna health insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund. Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. | ||
