Vacancy
Background | ||
One of the key elements of the foreign trade support system in many countries are export credit agencies (ECA). Their main task is to provide financial protection against business and political risks in foreign countries in order to facilitate the conclusion and execution of export contracts with foreign buyers, as well as to comply with the interests of national companies making direct investments abroad. The lack of financial institutions specialized in export support in the Kyrgyz Republic negatively affects the level of competitiveness of domestic producers and exporters in the world market. Taking into account the whole range of factors that determine the state and prospects of Kyrgyzstan’s exports, the creation of a national ECA is a preeminent urgency. To this end, the POiB intends to provide analytical and expert support to the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic to study the current situation in the country and abroad. This assignment foresees assessing risks and opportunities stemming from the introduction of an export insurance system, the creation of a national institute of insurance support for exports, including the legislative framework in terms of separate regulation of export insurance activities.
