Background    
     
   

OSCE Mission to Montenegro is looking for an Election Project Assistant in Democratization Programme.

The terms of Assignment will last until 23 March 2018, with possible extension.

     
Tasks and Responsibilities    
     
   

The incumbent will report to the Electoral Technical Assistance Officer and he/she will be required to:

1. Perform daily consecutive translation during meetings, seminars, and conferences; 2. Support and assist ETA in developing, planning, organising and implementing project activities; 3. Translate and proof-read documents from local language into English and vice versa; 4. Draft minutes of the meeting and provide inputs for internal reports on activities and development in the programmatic areas; 5. Support colleagues on liaising with local and international interlocutors as assigned; 6. Perform general administration and office management activities, in close co-operation with the Mission's Fund Administration Unit; 7. Perform other duties as required.

     
Necessary Qualifications    
     
    • Citizen or permanent resident of Montenegro. • Completed high school education (university education in related subject is considered as an asset). • Have basic knowledge of the legal system and electoral processes. • At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in an international organization. • Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken), good communication skills, flexibility and ability to work under pressure and within limited time frames. • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and independence. • Possession of a valid driver’s license. • Commitment to maintain impartiality and objectivity while working with people of diverse cultural, ethnic, religious backgrounds, political views and gender. • Computer skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Word, Excel or equivalent software programs.

Remuneration Package    
     
    Monthly remuneration is 1415.5 Euro/month, brut sum. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna health insurance scheme.
