The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe is looking for highly qualified, motivated and experienced candidate for the position of Driver/Mechanic. | ||
Tasks and Responsibilities | ||
Under the direct supervision of the Transport Assistant the incumbent performs the following duties: • Assists and deputises the Transport Assistant in performance maintenance arrangements pertaining to all the Mission vehicles; in purchasing spare parts for all Mission vehicles; • Inspects all Mission vehicles, advises on vehicle maintenance related issues and spare parts supplies; • Puts in order and control of the items in the Transport store; • Performs minor repairs as chaging brake pads, oil and oilfilters etc. and arrange for major repairs with concreted • workshop, as major engine overhaul, body repair etc. as directed by the Transport Assistant; • Acts as a driver for the Mission, drives office vehicles for the transport of authorised personnel and delegations, delivery or collection goods etc; • Be at a permanent disposition in case of emergency. Assists and deputises the Transport Assistant in case of broken vehicle; • Performs other duties as requared. |

Necessary Qualifications | ||
• Completion of secondary education in vehicle maintenance/engineering; • Class B, D driver’s license. Specialized training vehicle repair, maintenance would be an asset; • Three years of relevant experience in as a vehicle mechanic and of professional driving. Experience with international organization would be an asset. Safe driving record; • Good knowledge of Russian and Tajik is required. Some knowledge of English is preferable; • Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds; • Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities. |

Remuneration Package | ||
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions, is 530.83 EUR. Social benefits will include participation in the medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund. | ||
