Background    
     
    The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe is looking for highly qualified, motivated and experienced candidate for the position of Driver/Mechanic.
     
Tasks and Responsibilities    
     
   

Under the direct supervision of the Transport Assistant the incumbent performs the following duties:

• Assists and deputises the Transport Assistant in performance maintenance arrangements pertaining to all the Mission vehicles; in purchasing spare parts for all Mission vehicles; • Inspects all Mission vehicles, advises on vehicle maintenance related issues and spare parts supplies; • Puts in order and control of the items in the Transport store; • Performs minor repairs as chaging brake pads, oil and oilfilters etc. and arrange for major repairs with concreted • workshop, as major engine overhaul, body repair etc. as directed by the Transport Assistant; • Acts as a driver for the Mission, drives office vehicles for the transport of authorised personnel and delegations, delivery or collection goods etc; • Be at a permanent disposition in case of emergency. Assists and deputises  the Transport Assistant in case of broken vehicle; • Performs other duties as requared.

     
Necessary Qualifications    
     
   

• Completion of secondary education in vehicle maintenance/engineering; • Class B, D driver’s license. Specialized training vehicle repair, maintenance would be an asset; • Three years of relevant experience in as a vehicle mechanic and of professional driving. Experience with international organization would be an asset. Safe driving record; • Good knowledge of Russian and Tajik is required. Some knowledge of English is preferable; • Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds; • Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities.

Remuneration Package    
     
    Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions, is 530.83 EUR. Social benefits will include participation in the medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
