Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Fund Administration and coordination with Senior Procurement & Asset Management Assistant the incumbent is responsible for driving and daily maintenance of the office vehicles and when required assistance in fulfilment of routine administrative and logistics tasks.

Task and Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of Chief of Fund Administration Unit and co-ordination of Senior Procurement & Asset Management Assistant  the incumbent is responsible for:

  • Drives office vehicles for the transport of authorised personnel and delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items
  • Meets official personnel at the airport and facilitates customs formalities as required
  • Delivers and collects mail, documents and other items as required.
  • Ensures that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in the accident.
  • Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of office assigned vehicles .
  • Checks oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.
  • Performs minor repairs and arrangements for other repairs
  • Ensures that the vehicles are kept clean
  • Ensures that vehicles are timely refuelled.
  • Logs official trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil change, greasing, change of spare parts, etc.
  • Assists in low value purchasing such as households, building and cleaning supplies.
  • Assists in freight custom clearance procedures, delivers correspondence, receives freight at the airport and fulfills other customs cleaning formalities.
  • Assists in keeping proper order in storage room.
  •  Performs other duties as assigned

 

.Requirements:

  • Completed secondary education;
  • Valid driver’s licence  of category “B”, knowledge of local driving rules and regulations,
  • Minimum  2 years work experience as a driver; safe driving record;
  • Ability to drive 4WD (4x4) vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission
  • Awareness of basic rules of chauffeur courtesies;
  • Skills in minor vehicle repair, initiative and discretion;
  • Good knowledge of the city of Tashkent and surroundings;
  • Experience to assist in administrative and logistic tasks (customs clearance, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of English and Russian in addition to mother tongue/local language
  • Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds.

 

Remuneration Package

Appointment is normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions.
