Vacancy
Under the supervision of the Chief, Fund Administration unit and Co-ordination of Asset Management Assistant, the incumbent is responsible for driving and daily maintenance of the assigned office vehicles.
Task and Responsibilities:
1. Drive office vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel, delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items arrived for PCUz. • Meets official personnel at the airport and facilitates customs formalities, as required • Deliver and collects mail, documents and other items, as required.
2. Responsible for daily maintenance of office vehicles assigned, except the ones assigned to the Senior Driver and Head of Mission; • Check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.; • Perform minor repairs and arranges for other repairs; • Ensure that the vehicles are kept clean; • Ensure that vehicles are timely refuelled;
3. Enter official trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil change, greasing, etc. to the Logbooks 4. Ensure that steps required are taken in case of involvement in accident;
Perform other duties as required: • Assist administration to procure kitchen/building/cleaning supplies, etc. • Receives freight at the airport and facilitates customs formalities, as required
Requirements:
Completed secondary education. Valid driving license of categories B, C, knowledge of local driving rules and regulations. A minimum of four years of relevant experience as a driver, safe driving record. Experience of work in the International organisations is preferable; Ability to drive 4WD (4x4) vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission; Awareness of basic rules of close protection and chauffeur courtesies; Skills of minor vehicle repair, initiative and discretion; Good knowledge of Uzbek and Russian are required. Basic knowledge of English is highly desirable. Good knowledge of Tashkent city and surroundings; Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds.
Remuneration Package Appointment is normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions.
