Background | ||
The Office of the Secretary General (OSG) provides general services to the Secretary General (SG), the Chairperson-in-Office and the participating States. It groups horizontal services such as Executive Management, Communication and Media Relations, Legal Services, External Co-operation, Security Management, Gender Affairs, Conference and Language Services and Central Records Management, and oversees the Prague Office. The Communication and Media Relations Section (COMMS) is part of the Office of the Secretary General, and promotes awareness and understanding of the OSCE’s work among outside audiences by working with the media, by developing an effective communications strategy, using all available tools and innovative new channels to increase visibility and engagement, and get the Organization’s messages across to key stakeholders as well as the general public. Please note that OSCE internships are full-time (40 hour week). Candidates from non-EU participating States holding a student/resident permit in an EU country will require a D (working) visa. |

Remuneration Package | ||
Please note that the OSCE is not in a position to pay any remuneration nor reimburse travel expenses. However, selected interns who are non-residents of Vienna may be eligible for some compensation towards their living costs in Vienna. The internship lasts three (3) six (6) months and does not constitute a commitment to future employment with the OSCE. The selected intern will participate in the group health insurance scheme at his/her own expense but the OSCE will cover life and disability insurance. |
