Background | ||
This vacancy is open only for the applicants with the citizenship of or permanent residence in the Republic of Serbia. In order to assist in strengthening security around schools and support prevention of drug abuse among schoolchildren, the OSCE Mission to Serbia will work together with the Ministry of Interior (MoI) of the Republic of Serbia on enhancing the skills and knowledge of up to 100 School Police Officers (SPOs) from Belgrade and across Serbia. This will be achieved through a series of 3-day in-service training courses in the period from March to December 2019. A total of 4 (four) such 3-day training courses are planned for 2019. Applying a proactive approach, the training will enable SPOs to intervene to prevent situations or behaviours conducive to violence, drug abuse or other problems. |

Tasks and Responsibilities | ||
Under the supervision of the OSCE National Community Policing Officer, the consultant will be responsible for:
The first course will be organized from 26 to 28 March 2019, the second course will take place from 9 to 11 April 2019 in Belgrade, while the dates for the other two courses will be determined soon, in co-operation with the MoI. It is expected that participants will acquire specialised knowledge about young people and drug-related offences, risk and protective factors for drug use, responding to drugs incidents on or around school premises, and the role of the police in reducing the harm from drugs. |

Remuneration Package | ||
The expert will be employed on a Special Service Agreement covering a total period of 12 work days (3 days per course), starting approx. on 20 March 2019, and will be paid an amount not exceeding 100 EUR per day worked, commensurate to individual qualifications and experience. In addition, travel and accommodation expenses related to this consultancy, if any, will be reimbursed by the OSCE Mission to Serbia. |
