During the month of november 2020, the Department of Human Resources organized its first Virtual Recruitment Bootcamp for Women. The initiative consisted of two 2-hour sessions to support high-potential applicants in developing skills to submit stronger applications and prepare for competency-based interviews at the OSCE.
Applications were available on social media and via our Talent Acquisition Newsletter (distributed to +16k subscribers including delegations, professional organizations and associations across ps). Six hundred and twenty women from 54 pS and a total of 70 countries applied for consideration. Forty women were selected based on multiple criteria, including but not limited to nationality, main area of expertise and experience of relevance to the OSCE's comprehensive approach to security.
The sessions were conducted by experienced OSCE Secretariat recruiters and virtual exercises were monitored by current interns and JPOs.
