Background:
The OSCE has a comprehensive approach to security that encompasses politico-military, economic and environmental, and human aspects. It therefore addresses a wide range of security-related concerns, including arms control, confidence- and security-building measures, human rights, combating human trafficking, national minorities, democratization, policing strategies, counter-terrorism and economic and environmental activities. All 57 participating States enjoy equal status, and decisions are taken by consensus on a politically, but not legally binding basis.
The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe promotes the implementation of OSCE principles and commitments, as well as the co-operation of the Republic of Tajikistan within the OSCE framework in all three dimensions. It is involved in a wide range of activities, ranging from counter-terrorism and border management projects to supporting cross-border markets and free economic zones, human rights, media development, and legal reform initiatives.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Should you be selected for this exciting opportunity, you will work under the overall supervision of the Chief of Fund Administration (CFA), and will support the Office to ensure the provision of cost effective material management, procurement, building maintenance as well as travel and transport activities in the Office. Necessary Qualifications:
Citizenship of an OSCE participating State, excluding citizenship of Tajikistan;
First-level university degree in business administration, logistics and/or engineering;
Minimum four years of progressively responsible experience in logistics with specialization in fleet management, asset management, procurement and/or building management;
Field experience with the OSCE or other international organizations would be an asset;
Professional fluency in English and Russian with excellent written and oral communication skills;
Possession of a valid automobile driving license and ability to drive using a manual transmission;
Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities;
Previous exposure and openness to international environments with multicultural teams;
Computer literacy with practical experience in Microsoft applications;
Ability to cope with physical hardship and willingness to work extra hours and in an environment with limited infrastructure.

Remuneration Package:
Monthly remuneration subject to social security deductions is about US$ 3,991.25 to which is added Board and Lodging Allowance (currently EUR 129 per day subject to change without prior notice). Social benefits will include possibility of participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
Appointments are made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale.
