The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe is looking for highly qualified, motivated and experienced candidate for the position of Programme Assistant, Counter-Terrorism and Prevention of Violent Extremism and Radicalization Leading to Terrorism (P/VERLT) Programme.

Tasks and Responsibilities |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Under the direct supervision of the National Programme Officer, the incumbent performs the following duties:
- Submits purchase requisition requests through the Integrated Resource Management System(IRMA) system;
- Drafts relevant financial and administrative documents, including contracts with implementing partners;
- Collects and compiles information for the development of documents and proposals as well as financial and other requirements related to the follow-up, in co-operation with implementing partners and governmental authorities;
- Provides logistical support for the organization of official visits and participation in conferences including travel arrangements (flight tickets, accommodation, visas etc.), venues etc.;
- Compiles background material and draft papers for seminars and conferences such as the list of participants, agenda’s etc.;
- Drafts correspondence with national and international partners and minutes from meetings, conferences;
- Maintains contact information for government offices, international organizations, local authorities, and research institutions that are relevant for the implementation of Program activities;
- Maintains a database relevant to the program, including project information, background information, partner and other relevant interlocutors’ information;
- Performs informal interpretation and translation from and to Tajik, Russian and English;
- Assists in field research on VERLT conducted together with government officials in the regions of Tajikistan;
- Collects and reports newspaper and web-site articles on VERLT;
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Necessary Qualifications |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Secondary education supplemented by studies in international relations, project management, finance, economy or related field;
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Russian, and Tajik;
- Computer-literate with practical experience in Windows and Microsoft applications;
- Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religion and cultural backgrounds;
- Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities;
- Knowledge of relevant OSCE Ministerial Council declarations/Permanent Council Decisions and UN Security Council Resolutions in his/her portfolio.

Remuneration Package |
|
|

|
|
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions, is 751.50 EUR. Social benefits will include participation in the medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
