Background information:
The Politico-Military Unit of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine is implementing a project on assisting Ukraine's border guards to counter terrorism threats. This project seeks to assist the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGSU) in reducing the threat of terrorism and to strengthen ability of the SBGSU to identify terrorism threats.
The PCU will engage two international experts from the border guard service of one of the OSCE participating States or Partner for Co-operation to develop a training programme and conduct a three-day training on terrorism and cross-border crime profiling for 20 multipliers from the respective units at the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The level of obtained knowledge on terrorism and cross-border crime profiling will be assessed at the post-training test. The trained multipliers will pass the gained knowledge and skills to their co-workers by conducting trainings at their units. Two international experts will also be a part of the established working group to develop tactical requirements for the automation of terrorism and cross-border crime profiling at the SBGSU.
Please note that this is a consultancy assignment of approximately 7 working days. The expert will be required to work from home and travel to Ukraine to conduct a three-day training on terrorism and cross-border crime profiling for 20 multipliers from the respective units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
