Vacancy
Background | ||
The OSCE Mission to Skopje has been working towards combatting hate crime through data collection efforts, capacity building of public institutions and Civil Society Organizations, and by raising awareness and deconstructing prejudice, to improve inter-ethnic relations and to promote tolerance and non-discrimination. Having developed the survey methodology and questionnaire in 2017, the Mission, through a service provider, is currently conducting the first National Hate Crime Victimization Survey that reaches out to all communities in the country. This survey is part of the "Promotion of Tolerance and Non-discrimination" project. The survey should offer understanding of the prevalence of crimes motivated by an offender’s bias against victims that belong to, or are associated with a protected group (e.g. identified by race, gender, religion, disability, ethnicity etc.). The purpose of the survey is to identify the extent of underreporting of hate incidents in the country and to lead to the creation of a baseline for the work ahead. In support of the Project, the Mission is seeking an experienced research survey analyst to undertake an accurate and comprehensive analysis of the data obtained through the first National Hate Crime Victimization Survey. |
