Recruitment for a roster of Russian Language Translators (English – Russian, Russian – English) The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) is the principal institution of the OSCE responsible for the human dimension. ODIHR is active throughout the OSCE area in the fields of election observation, democratic development, human rights, tolerance and non-discrimination, and the rule of law. ODIHR’s assistance projects and other activities are implemented in participating States in accordance with ODIHR’s mandate. The Office requires the services of short-term Russian Language Translator (English – Russian; Russian – English) with experience of working on human rights related topics on an occasional basis. The consultant should render the services in his/her capacity as an individual translator, not as an agency. It is envisaged that the consultant will be based remotely and available to engage in ad-hoc consultancy work.

Tasks and Responsibilities: | ![]() |

Under the supervision of the Editor, Public Affairs Unit and the ODIHR Spokesperson, the Russian Language Translator edits, proof-reads and checks the layout of Russian-language versions of general printed informational material, including thematic reports, handbooks, background papers, and factsheets, as well as Russian-language content on the ODIHR website. |

Remuneration will depend on the selected consultant’s qualifications and experience and will be in accordance with OSCE established rates.
