Background | ||
OSCE Mission to Skopje (OMSk) is implementing Extra Budgetary (EXB) Project: “Reduction of the Risk for Proliferation of Weapons and Ammunition in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”. The project aims to assist the Host Country (HC) to implement international commitments and contribute to security and stability in the region with increasing the security of the existing stockpiles of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) and ammunition, managed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MoIA). Project Coordinator leads the Project Implementation Team (PIT) with the professional support and assistance of consultants. With the aim to strengthen the PIT’s capacity related to above mentioned EXB project, the OMSk would like to engage a Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) under Special Service Agreement (SSA) contract modality, who will assist, among others in the development of procurement documentation for the selection of construction design provider, procurement documentation for the selection of a company to implement the security upgrades and provide quality assurance during the implementation of the security upgrades. |

Tasks and Responsibilities | ||
Under the guidance of the Project Coordinator (PC) and in cooperation with the members of PIT the incumbent carries out a range of tasks related to the Project‘s implementation with regards to: the development of technical documentation required for conducting tenders on design elaboration and construction works; assistance in conducting tenders and selecting contractors, as well as oversight the work of contractors during the design elaboration and construction process from the beginning until the delivery of the final results and certification. Remuneration Package | ||
For the services provided, the Quality Assurance Engineer will be remunerated for 200 EUR per diem. Payment will be done in three instalments, after successful completion of each Activity presented in the Tasks and responsibilities. The period of engagement is from 01 February 2018 to 30 June 2018. The total engagement will be 25 working days (including home-based work and field work) with the possibility of extension, with the below distribution per months:
