Background  
     
   

The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) is the principal institution working on human rights in the OSCE’s 57 countries, in accordance with the commitments taken by the OSCE’s participating States.

To accomplish this work and manage contact information of individuals and organizations that interact with ODIHR’s work, the Tolerance and Non-Discrimination Department was using a custom-built system 2005 - 2016. In 2016 a new system, SuiteCRM, was established on high demand for open source modern contact management system.

Objective:

The Tolerance and Non-Discrimination Department (TND) requires the services of a Short Term Data Entry Clerk who would be responsible for further migration of the organizations and persons' records, their proper categorization and update. The person will work on irregular hourly basis.

The expected duration of the contract is 20 days, starting 14 December 2017.

     
Tasks and Responsibilities  
     
   

The Short Term Data Entry Clerk will, under the supervision of the Information Management Assistant, support migration of the contact records to the new system.

The work will include the following tasks:

  • Preparing files for migration using templates in csv format;
  • Carrying out migration of the data and checks for duplicates in a new system;
  • Performing a proper categorisation of the migrated data by researching on internet and checking against the old database.
     
Necessary Qualifications  
     
   
  • Completed secondary education. Relevant technical training related to data entry would be desirable;
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in data entry functions and filing required;
  • Advanced computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Knowledge of Excel and its various formats is a distinct advantage;
  • High attention to details, accuracy;
  • Professional fluency in English; knowledge of other OSCE languages would be an asset;
  • Familiarity of Cyrillic is desirable;
  • Initiative and sound judgement. Ability to work under time pressure and with tight deadlines;
  • Experience of working in a multilateral/multicultural environment;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relations with different cultural and national backgrounds;
  • Ability to be discreet and retain confidentiality.

Remuneration Package  
     
    This is a short-term position. The financial remuneration is calculated and paid based on the number of hours worked during a calendar month. Hourly remuneration is approximately 23.00 PLN per hour.
